4,500 Individuals and Media Organizations Find Value in 4th Edition of Arab Media Outlook
Dubai-UAE: 29 December, 2012 – More than 4,500 individuals and media organizations have accessed the fourth edition of the Arab Media Outlook as a valuable reference on the regional media sector, announced Dubai Press Club.
In addition to being distributed during the Arab Media Forum (45 per cent), the report witnessed high uptake from the academic, public relations and consulting fields, journalism, television and news agencies. electronic media, participants in various exhibitions (14%), and followers of the media sector in the Arab world.
Titled: "Arab Media: Exposure and Transformation", the report offers concise data and an overview of the media industry across 17 countries in the region. Tracking the performance and trends of various media platforms from 2011-2015, the study focuses on the issue of creating value for the Arab media, especially with regards to Arabic content.
Assessed through interviews with 140 stakeholders from the print, television, online advertising, radio and cinema sectors, as well as interviews with ad agencies, the report provides forecasts for net spending on advertising until 2015 in the countries mentioned in the report. The analysis takes into consideration the prevailing economic environment and the near and medium-term political instability in each country.
The fourth edition of the Arab Media Outlook has been released at a time when the media sector in the region is witnessing radical change and is poised to undergo a gradual transformation due to the countries’ current preoccupation with economic and political issues.
