‘Bieber Fever’ hits Dubai in May 2013

Cue the screaming girls, international pop sensation Justin Bieber is coming to Dubai.
Bieber is heading to the United Arab Emirates on May 4, 2013 to spread what has become known as “Beiber Fever,” performing in front of a crowd of 20,000 at the Dubai Rugby Sevens Stadium during his Believe World Tour.
Virgin Radio confirmed early Sunday that the Canadian -born singer is heading to the emirate to perform a variety of his songs ranging from his first album, “My World.”’
The songs include those shot him to stardom, such as “One Time” and “Baby” and his recently released album “Believe” which include No.1 chart hit “Boyfriend.”
The singer hasn’t yet tweeted about his upcoming performance in Dubai but his UAE “Beliebers,” a small percentage of the huge fan base loyal to the star with an impressive presence on social media, have taken over Twitter to share their excitement.
Bieber’s performance has been set up by the same events company which will bring Jennifer Lopez to Dubai in November.
“It feels like only a short while ago Justin Bieber suddenly emerged from the world of social media and hit the charts big time,” an official from Bieber’s event management company said, according to local media.
He also said that it was then that Beiber “exposed” the world to “Beibermania” through his chart success.
“Now that we know the phenomenon is also an amazingly talented superstar, we look forward to welcoming Justin Bieber to Dubai for the very first time and for what will hopefully be his first of many concerts performing his hits to the legions of regional Beliebers,” the official added.
The 18-year-old superstar shot to fame in 2009 at the age of 13 with his debut single “One Time” which went straight to No.1 in international charts along with seven other songs from his debut album which made him the youngest artist to have accomplished this on the Billboard Hot 100 charts in the U.S
