Saturday 4th February we are turning Dubai InsideOut with your help and participation. We finally got permission to use a public space, although for one day only, and post the 55 posters selected during the TEDxDubai 2011.
We felt it was important to join the INSIDEOUT movement and wanted to get public attention to celebrate an important and often overlooked fact: “Many nationalities are peacefully living together here in Dubai”.
At TEDxDubai we support and celebrate diversity and are very proud to be showcasing the many cultures intersecting, learning from each other and ultimately living peacefully in an environment that for many has become “home”.
So if you support this statement, if you want to help us take over the Emaar boulevard, hang the posters, meet the photographer Sueraya Shaheen who kindly took the portraits for this project and be part of our action documentary meet us at 09.30 am on Saturday 4th February outside the Pavilion.
We will be filming the action and interviewing all participant and the footage might be included in the InsideOut Documentary that JR will release at the end of the year.
Please see attached the thumbnails of the selected pictures. We have already sent emails to the selected individuals and, If you recognize yourself but did not receive the email, please contact us.
Those marked in red color have not been identified yet, and if you spot anyone you know please get in touch at natascia@tedxdubai.com or help us tag them on the picture.
Looking forward to the action, and let’s turn Dubai INSIDEOUT
